The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS)

The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) is one of the most important skill development programs in India. Launched in 1950 by the Government of India, this scheme aims to provide industry-relevant skills to young individuals to make them employable and self-reliant. The main goal of the CTS is to train youth in various technical and non-technical trades to meet the growing demands of industries and promote self-employment.CTS courses are conducted in various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across India. These institutes are equipped with modern infrastructure and qualified instructors.

Trainees of CTS can find jobs in industries, start their own businesses, or pursue higher education and advanced skill training. The program opens doors to numerous career paths in both public and private sectors.
