The Government of India approved the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana on 29^th February 2024.The successful implementation of the scheme relies heavily on extensive training of Solar Technicians across India. The skilling component aims to create a workforce capable of installing, maintaining, and supporting widespread solar technology usage.

 Targeted Candidates: Individuals trained in Electrician, Electrician Power Distribution, Electronic mechanic trades under CTS/CITS who have passed out from ITIs /NSTIs will be targeted for 5 days of institutional training and minimum 2 days of on-the-job training (OJT).

Under this scheme Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Takyel Imphal under Directorate of Craftsmen Training, Manipur had conducted 1^st Batch for 20 trainees from 14^th October,2024 to 21^st October,2024 and with the continuation of this scheme 2^nd Batch is conducting with 16 trainees.
