History of Govt. ITI, Sekmai, Imphal West<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government Industrial Training Institute, ITI, Sekmai, Imphal West is located at Sekmai Khunou near to Sekmai Bazar, approximately 18.2 km from Imphal City. The Institute is accessible by MSRTC\/Local Bus from Imphal to Kanglatombi Bazar followed by an autorikshaw ride from Sekmai Bazar to the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inaugurated by Hon\u2019ble Minister Social Welfare, Labour & Employment Govt. of Manipur Shri. H. Dingo Singh, Sekmai A\/C on the 6th<\/sup> December, 2024 which was constructed under ESDI Fund. Its purpose is to provide vocational and skill training to unemployed youth by producing skilled manpower for various sectors. Initially, the Institute began with 4(four) different trades affiliated to State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) with a seating capacity of 88 trainess for the academic session 2024-2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ITI is imparting training in various Engineering and Non-Engineering trade\/courses suitable to the Indian industrial environment. The training periods range from one year to two years in over 4 (Four) different Trades. Prerequisites for the courses range from 8th<\/sup> to 10th<\/sup> class pass. The training is imparted as per the syllabus and curriculum approved by Government of India in consultation with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t
